If you have purchased a "new website address" as part of the Online store or Enhanced website plan, you will be able to use WWW at the start of your website name. See the highlighted boxes below when purchasing the website:

When you use your own domain (website address)
If you are using your own website address, you can use a www address. To do so follow the instructions in the link below:
When you cannot use WWW
If you have purchased a Starter plan or not subscribed to the "New Website Address" as part of your Enhanced or Online Store your website will be available with your selected address, but will not have a www address. Not having a www will make no difference to how google or any other websites see your website.
